MedCom USA, Inc., a leading provider of HIPAA-compliant dental, healthcare and financial transaction solutions, is beginning to expand its market share by providing medical and dental providers in the State of New Jersey the desktop solution for obtaining Verification of Eligibility for Medicaid patients.


It was recently announced that the State of New Jersey has implemented a test in three counties to provide Healthcare Benefits Identification Cards to its Medicaid clients. These cards have a magnetic stripe that will include the pertinent benefit and patient information that a provider can use to submit correct claims. The State is distributing 170,000 cards in the first round to three counties: Monmouth, Sussex, and Camden. The remaining 18 counties will begin receiving their cards in August.

The system provides additional electronic healthcare transaction features including claims submission, referrals, service authorizations and claims status.
