Canoga Park, CA-based Account Control Technology (ACT), an educational debt management solutions company, recently welcomed Mr. David Stocker, Esquire, as General Counsel for the company effective April 16, 2008.
Mr. Stocker brings over 30 years of experience within the industry to ACT. “David’s long tenure in the student loan industry was an ideal match for ACT, bringing incredible value and assistance to us as an agency and to our clients,” announced President Don Taylor.
In addition to his responsibilities in representing ACT for corporate legal matters, he will oversee compliance with State and Federal collection laws, and coordinate litigation to recover defaulted debt on behalf of ACT’s College and University clients.

David attended Ohio Northern University and started his career by representing the Ohio Colleges and Universities Section of the Ohio Attorney General, and serving as General Counsel for the Ohio Student Loan Commission, the FFELP Guarantor for Ohio. He continued his career in the collection industry beginning in 1992 and has extensive experience relating to agency operations, including being the former President of COHEAO and an ACA International Collection Notice Review Specialist. David is married with four children and four grandchildren. In his spare time, he and his wife have rescued animals for the past 11 years.
