In collaboration with the San Antonio Federal Bureau of Investigation, SWACHA — The Electronic Payments Resource® — The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT), and The Texas Credit Union League (TCUL) will host the 7th annual FBI Financial Institution Crime Day on August 28 in San Antonio. The one-day conference will examine issues facing financial institutions such as white collar crime, fraud, robbery and identity theft.
The conference is designed specifically for financial institution fraud and security professionals, as well as law enforcement officials in the Criminal Intelligence and White Collar Crime Departments. Attendees will meet with financial industry leaders, representatives from the United States Attorney General’s Office, and local FBI Special Agents and law enforcement officials to discuss common needs and solutions in the realm of risk management.

Participants will also gain greater awareness of proactive initiatives to reduce fraud and get access to the latest information on innovative fraud prevention technology.
“There is a pressing need for financial institutions and law enforcement to work together in new ways to face the challenges presented by financial crimes,” said Dennis Simmons, president and CEO of SWACHA. “The San Antonio financial community will benefit greatly from collaborating with the FBI and local law enforcement agencies. Attendees will walk away from this conference with a strong sense of not only what is happening nationwide in these areas, but also, what are the issues specific to San Antonio.”
