MDHBA Awards Two New Certifications

Todd Gillis, vice president, and Kimberly Tolomeo, office manager, Medical Business Bureau, LLC, Park Ridge, Illinois, have earned their Certified Professional Business Executive (CPBE) designation from the Medical-Dental-Hospital Business Associates (MDHBA), announced Eric Mock, CPBE, chairman of the organization’s Certification Committee.

Gillis, who is a part-owner of the company, is primarily responsible for overseeing sales and marketing activities. He is a member of MDHBA, and is also a member of ACA International, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and the Healthcare Billing and Management Association. Within his community, Gillis is a board member of the Lincolnshire Community Nursery School and has been involved with fundraising for several other organizations.

Tolomeo is responsible for overseeing Medical Business Bureau’s collection staff, as well as the clerical staff and office efficiency. With more than 11 years of industry experience, she is a member of MDHBA and is a frequent participant in the organization’s annual Institute. Tolomeo is active within her community, serving as a volunteer with the Norridge Police Department. In addition, she participated in fundraising for the Kids Fight Cancer Organization, and is active in the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Illinois Division.
